Full Count was formed in Osaka, Japan in 1992 by the legendary Mikiharu Tsujita.
Tsujita is heralded as the pioneer of modern Japanese denim as his extensive research on his own beloved vintage Levi's denim and extraordinary vision for Full Count led to the use of 'long staple' Zimbabwean cotton. This organic, hand picked cotton with it's natural strength and softness would become a turning point in the history of Japanese denim and the 'Osaka Five' including Evisu, Warehouse, Studio D'Artisan & Denime.
Earlier Tsujita had been working with Hidehiko Yamane during the genesis of Evisu, which developed into a different beast entirely and Tsujita’s interest was always in a more casual fabric.Woven on the original shuttle looms Levi's used to weave the legendary XX denim in the 1960s, Full Count proudly produces some of the finest jeans in the world.
Full Count is now celebrating it's 25th Anniversary.
